2010 WORLD CUP SOUTH AFRICA

I was asked by a few people if i'd write a blog for the World Cup, from fans who will be watching every kick to people who have no interest in football but know it can't be avoided and could read what i put to help them through or at least make them smile

Celebrity World Cup predictions (part two)

Noel Gallagher of Oasis fame has given his backing to Argentina to win the World Cup, mainly as his love of Man City has led him to believe Carlos Tevez is the best player in the world, in fact the guitarist who already has two children plans to pay tribute to his sporting hero when he becomes a father for the third time in September,
"the new baby, if it's a boy - Sara doesn't know yet - is defiantly going to be called Carlos. Yeah, without a doubt. Or just Tevez. Tevez Gallagher. Carlito Gallagher. She doesn't know yet, but I'll nip out to the Marylebone Registry Office while she's having a nap"
The musician has also admitted Sara's pregnancy has scuppered his plans to spend the summer in South Africa for the World Cup, he added in an interview for The Football Association's website,
"I was planning on going but i went and got my missus pregnant didn't I. I should of knocked her up when i got back or something instead"
Noel will be watching the tournament on TV but admits he still gets so involved in the action he frightens his other children
"Anais (9) isn't into football, she thinks it's boring. she can't grasp the concept of Dad's standing up watching the TV, because i do that"

according to the 'black panther' former Portugal striker Eusebio, he rates Czech Republic's chances, saying 'they've got players at teams all across Europe, watch out for them, they are a good team", first time I've heard someone suggest the Czechs as serious contenders, maybe Euesbio is being sponsored by some new Czech beer and has drank too much of it.

and Robbie Fowler has made predictions.....but i don't care
