2010 WORLD CUP SOUTH AFRICA

I was asked by a few people if i'd write a blog for the World Cup, from fans who will be watching every kick to people who have no interest in football but know it can't be avoided and could read what i put to help them through or at least make them smile

Celebrity World Cup predictions (part 1)

Today, looking at who various names from football and celebrities name to win the World Cup. One of the biggest names in football, Manchester United's Sir Alex Ferguson has said 'I can't see past Brazil, actually' he was quoted in The Daily Mail 'they are going to be the ones in South Africa' so Sir Alex has gone for a Brazilian (win), though he'd never pick England over Scotland (from a man who in the spring only really needs to put his clocks back 55 minutes to catch up with the rest of us).

Liverpool's fat Spanish waiter, i mean manager, Rafa Benitez thinks Fabio Capello has as much quality at his disposal as anyone travelling to South Africa, "you never know but i think Spain, England and Brazil are at the top now" Benitez said in a recent press conference "always expect something from all Argentina too", that's right Rafa, name all the teams and play it safe (those are facts).

Pele, speaking in an interview in his native Sao Paulo, is reported of have predicted that Argentina and England will be the strongest challengers to favourites Brazil, with Germany and Italy not among the contenders. As we all know, Pele's football predictions are usually way off the mark so expect a final between Germany and Italy.

Denmark's former goalkeeper from France 98 Peter Schmeichel has quoted 'Spain hadn't won a major competition for over 40 years before the Euro Cup so maybe this is the start of something new for them", let's hope they don't taste defeat or Peter's face will be as red as his nose.

Most importantly is this prediction from Fabio Capello, he says he believes England will win the tournament and would be 'failures' if they didn't reach the final.....
